The staff were friendly, and there were many interesting attractions, many of which included video or audio presentations. However, I noticed that the young people had quite strong accents in their narrations. I appreciated that the signs were often sung in the local dialect while reflecting the history of life in the mine and the surrounding community. There was even a section dedicated to the 80s, which, despite being quite rare, was an enjoyable experience. Overall, it was a really good day; the place wasn't busy when we visited, and the weather was decent, which contributed to the enjoyable atmosphere.

Totally brilliant place and right on my road. gives them a great insight into the life of the mountain man and colliery in the last century. I love to know in earlier times about the working life of people. watch the film winding in house and listen to the two youngs who talk about her life that the caged operates throughout the day, move men and materials on and off the asses. they talk about their work with such affection and nostalgia. some of these miners have painted pictures of the mining life in their free time and formed the ashington group of the artists. the best of their work is now proud of the permanent exhibition here. while all amateur artists are the paintings very good. many free parkings here and not busy when I left. Nice place, lots of information about this mine and employees history. Pictures, exhibits, atmosphere, the whole family is good to go. There is also a restaurant and a playground for children, I recommend it.
