Perkins Bakery - Woodbury

I had a great experience at this restaurant. My daughter ordered the bear cake, and it was fantastic! Everything was delightful, and the coffee was really good. The children's meal included a drink and a cookie, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend this place!

The staff was friendly, and the dining room was comfortable. Dinner was quite enjoyable, and while the coffee was decent, I think a slightly stronger brew would have been ideal. I tried the chocolate brownie with hot chocolate in the center—it was rich and calorie-laden. Since it was between 3-4pm, I settled in at the counter to get some work done, and I appreciated that my coffee cup was frequently refilled or I was asked if I wanted more. I’ll definitely return, but next time, I'll skip dessert.

Perkins opened in the early 1990s and quickly became a beloved community staple in Woodbury, long before the area saw the expansion of restaurants it has today. It was a lively spot, bustling late into the night and filled with families on busy Saturday and Sunday mornings. The restaurant was the backdrop for many wonderful memories over its nearly 30-year existence. Unfortunately, it closed its doors for the last time at 4 PM on October 20, 2019.
