Celebrated my Dad's birthday here at the weekend as he has a particular liking of Ghostship. There was 6 of us in our group and we all had thoroughly enjoyable meals both delicious and well presented. We all said we would recommend. Unfortunately the pub car park behind the venue was not in use so we had a challenge finding somewhere to park. We ended up parking near the co-op which is a fair walk from the pub so if anyone in your group has mobility issues I would definitely look into this before attending. Overall well worth the visit. This charming pub, dating back to the late 15th century and classified as a Grade II listed building, is filled with character and exudes a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was not only delicious but beautifully presented with generous portions. I tried the fish and chips, and the double-cooked chips were the crispiest, fluffiest, and tastiest I've ever had! After spending a day in the sunshine, we enjoyed sitting indoors to soak up the ambiance, but there's also a large beer garden outside that basks in the warm April sun. We will definitely be coming back!

The service was excellent, and the ale was outstanding at the pub. The food was exceptional as well.
