Casey's General Store - Wood River

I went to grab a pizza and some water, but unfortunately, they didn’t have water in the fountain machine. However, I managed to enjoy a delicious slice of pizza. Here’s my rating: Food: 4, Service: 3, Atmosphere: 4.

Pizza quality in Wood River has really declined lately, and since we use wheelchairs, we can’t get to the one near Alda on Hwy 30. It’s too bad that Casey’s doesn’t offer delivery.

This Casey's location is one of the better ones in the area when it comes to service. The staff is usually friendly, pleasant, and helpful. Occasionally, there may be a delay with pizza and other food items being available in the warmer, but this is not the norm. My main concern is the store itself—it’s a small, outdated building that feels cramped and lacks atmosphere. Additionally, there is only one restroom available for customers. However, the kitchen does a great job with food preparation. This pizza is like god. I swear. My only problem is the atmosphere of the place. It is highly uncomfortable, however I also have high anxiety that is triggered by pizza places. Not sure if that makes a difference but this place is great and does the job too well...
