Chukumi Native - Wonju

We've always loved this restaurant since it started its business here in Cebu. Food is great and the staff was very excellent when it comes to her customer service. 10/10 customer service!

If you like spicy Korean food this is the place to go! The staff is friendly and helpful, the side dishes are good especially the steamed egg. For more flavor, sprinkle some ground black pepper on the eggs. Depending on your desire for spiciness, you shouldn’t be disappointed they have different levels. If you ask for spiciness above and beyond their normal “hot” they will do that too! Don’t forget to get the fried rice at the end it is delicious in the chagumi sauce!

Sweet and spicy tiny octopus. If you're looking for something with a lot of heat, this food is for you. TIP: Do not go for the chukumi and samgyupsal combo as it only has a few pieces of meat and not worth the 530 pesos.

No words can express how I like my foods to be really spicy. Coming to Chukumi Native was therefore the right decision. Place looks so native and simple. Customers usually dine outside with the open air. If your order surpasses P1000 pesos then you can dine inside their special hut with air conditioning. We had their Chukumi and Samgyupsal Set. Customers can choose the level of spiciness they can handle. We went for the medium one and the waitress actually gave us a warning that it is really spicy already but we said that we were up for the challenge. We did not regret it even if it was really really really spicy that it made our eyes water and made us cough a lot of times (we consumed most of our drinks and ordered for new ones too). Hahahahaha. And we said to ourselves that this was just the level of spiciness that we are looking for. It was a very satisfying meal for people like us who adore spicy foods.
