The duck was moist and the dressing was tasty. Hubby's scallops were sweet and plump little taste bud flirts. So good! I also had a salad and spouse chose the onion soup. Friendly staff was a plus.
Location Atmosphere Very nice location right off of the river. We were here in the winter and things were 'snow covered '. Would be nice if they had an out door patio with service in the summer. Resurant includes a bar area. Food Beverage Nice menu and things sounded good. Had the salmon which was good. Nothing special. My wife had the chicken with veggies. The veggies were basically a brocolli stalk with no seasoning... Kind of a bland meal. Service Was a bit odd. Not sure that they had the right staff on for a Saturday night. Place wan 't busy but the servers looked overwhelmed. We actually never got our salad with our dinner. Seems like it was forgotten. Not sure how though. In summary Really wanted to enjoy this resurant more than I did. It 's a very nice location and looks like a nice 'dinner club '. Perhaps we will give it another try....
This place is not fancy. It 's old, dark and dated. Hell one of the waitresses was maybe 70 years old smiling, cheerful and working her ass off! My wife and I sat near a window we freely opened and closed as the temperature changed. This place is 100% low key. Sip your cocktail and slow down. No one is in a hurry here. I ordered the Icelandic baked cod, my wife had the old school liver and onions . To our surprise...the food was really good. I have not had liver and onions in 25 years. They were better than I remember but not my thing. Wife loved them. So surprised how tasty the food was I almost let that comment slip when our waitress asked us. We both left pleasantly surprised. Low key, in the middle of know where, no frills dining. We will be back!
Classic dinner. Would dine again. Food was delicious! I did not preview in advance and our decision to dine was spontaneous, but well worth it. I was skeptical at first, added that our server was young and maybe just walked in, visibily nervous had to get answers to our questions (any specials? but she recovered her confidence quick and we had a nice experience overall. Pictures shown of the stuffed shrimp, saganaki, lamb, and Grasshopper. Bread was plain and boring.
I have lived in the area a few years and have never tried it. Never seems to be open even prior to COVID. Strange hours like Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 10pm only. But I have learned this is also not reliable.
