Dan's Diner - Wondai

Stopped there after travelling for a while had rung the shop and ordered food was there ready and waiting and still very hot. Excellent service, I know it has had a few issues in the past but is under new people now and the service is excellent.

Rang and said a family of four would be there before kitchen closed . Arrived 70 min before closing so we were told on the phone) and they told us when we arrived that they couldn’t do it. It would be too troublesome. Horrible behaviour. Hungry family and rude locals. Very disappointed.

We bought take away fish and chips several weeks ago and was pleased. Today tried to phone order in but phone off the hook. Called in for fish and chips again only 2 working one in shop and one in kitchen. Waited half an hour and got incorrect order. We took food home after rectification and the fish and chips portion was only half the size of several weeks ago. Yes it's Sunday so can understand short staff but no excuse for downsizing portions to make more money. Will not use again.

I loved stopping in here on my way home from work for a quick dinner when i didn't feel like cooking. Dan and the staff were always very polite and there was a good variety of drinks and meals available. Open early for the people wanting something on their way to work also. They sell a few locally grown veges and have a fuel pump out the front.

Been here a couple of times now. Good old fashioned standard fare, no frills. Staff are always pleasant even when its busy. Their coffee is very good and its good to have the option of something pre-made from the warmer or made to order. The first time we were in a rush and a couple of bacon/egg rolls from the warmer were the go, the second time it was a sit down breakfast made to order. Did i say they have great coffee? Looking forward to stopping there again next time we are up that way.
