Adlington's Wine Experience

My wife took me here for our wedding anniversary and was surprised by the quality of the food and wine and also the service from the staff. We allowed the waitress to decided the best tapas and matching wines and all were well above average. If you want a nice night out or maybe a couple of quite drinks than try Adlingtons, you wont be disappointed.

We did not have Tapas menu but went as a group for dinner. The food was very ordinary. I had fish that was so small and tasted like rubber-I think it was seafood extender.My partner had the pasta that he was unable to finish.The room was hot and meals were bought out so slowly that some of the party had finished and the others were still eating.

I enjoyed the wine we chose, the service was friendly and helpful. The venue felt a bit cold (in terms of atmosphere, not temperature) the decor was a bit confused. I personally didn't enjoy the tapas we ordered, they sounded good on paper but didn't live up to my expectations on the plate. The corn and beans beneath the Argentinian beef skewers appeared to have come straight out of a tin. They would have been nice to be cooked a little, or dressed to complement the skewers. I'd give them a second chance, perhaps during a Friday or Saturday night when the place is more alive.

My family of 8 adults and 6 children had a wonderful lunch at Adlingtons for Father's Day. The owner Peter welcomed us warmly, explained the menu, and brought us the most delicious array of tapas, every mouthful of which was savoured, by children and adults alike. A talented singer/guitarist provided entertainment, and we all agreed it was a perfect venue for a family celebration. We shall return!

The new food and wine experience was wonderful and owner Peter has a great knowledge of wines and fabulous section.For lovers of Tapas who want to try flavours with matching wines will need to try this new venue.
