Big Rock Hub

Good indoor climbing venue. Nice bright coloured holds on light walls to make routes easy to see. I have colour vision issues (as do 10% of the male population). I would just like the setters to avoid Blue and Purple routes on the same board!

As a newbie climber, I found Big Rock Hub to be friendly and welcoming. Good atmosphere, great little cafe and good parking on site.

Great experience trying on climbing shoes and then onto the bouldering wall, a great set up busy at times, but very friendly and helpful staff.

The best climbing centre I've ever been too. Massive central walls. The staff are knowledgeable and polite. I liked the routes. It was busy but there's enough there if you are waiting to try a route.

I went to the Big Rock Hub for the first time last week and was extremely impressed with the facilities and the staff. Having been a climber a few years ago and just getting back into it I have been to a few different climbing centers in the past.. the Big Rock Hub blew them out of the water. Staff are very friendly and helpful, a fantastic selection of top rope, lead and auto belay climbs. The bouldering climbs are incredible and clearly very popular as there was a lot of climbers trying to problem solve the climbs. I also saw climbing instructors leading and inspiring the next generation of climbers which seemed to be engaging, fun and safe. Being new to the center I was assessed at the reception desk to ensure I was competent to self lead in the center which was quick and not patronizing at all. I am certainly looking forward to my future visits.
