We waited about 2 hours for the food, because before us the bowling alley guests and larger tables with several guests were there. We were cold. You don't need it on Saturday night.

We are at times in the old door to Witten to enjoy grounded cuisine in rustic ambience. Schnitzel and Steaks are excellent. There is a classic, strong chicken soup, ham plate, hare bump and other tasty tempers, all at a very fair price/performance ratio.

After two visits, we can only confirm that not only the pepper steak but also the other dishes had a qualitatively high bourgeois level - what one rarely gets today.

This restaurant has the best steak I've ever eaten, the meat was good quality and roasted on the point exactly. Highness, the pfeffer sauce was the i tüpfelchen very great class. I'll be happy to come back to the cones.

The service was great and the hostess was very attentive. This is a German establishment located out in the German countryside, consequently, the hostess does not speak English. She was very patient with our questionable or altogether absent German skills, but after all was said and done, we were able to order.The good was tasty, and it was clear from the moment the side salads came out, that we wouldn't leave there hungry.I had a turkey breast dish with mushroom sauce, It hit the spot. It was, unfortunately, served with French Fries, however. This was probably a miscommunication due to my lack of German speaking ability, but I was expecting or hoping for something a little different when asked if I wanted potatoes.The atmosphere of the restaurant was rustic. It fully satisfied my desire to dine in an authentic German establishment.
