I come here every year for a weekend away it’s rustic and homely, friendly staff and really good food.

My family and I spent 2 nights there while visiting the Lake District. Lovely old pub, with excellent food; dinners and breakfasts. My husband loved the Black Pudding and Haggis stack so much, that he had it both night 's Our daughter also had it the 2nd night. Our rooms were comfy too. Bonus was, I experienced proper snow for the first time. Staff are also great and very friendly.

Lovely locals, great food. We got there at 4 and ended up staying until closing time!
