Called for a drink and stayed for food! 10/10 for personal, service and eating. hubby has the stinger burger while he had the stacker! very tasty and very fillable! they win the hub from one of the 2 burgers. personal really nice and friendly we will come back soon! bonus added, but you will get a free on Thursday with burgers. next Thursday

Recently enjoyed a meal and drinks in the nelson and was impressed by not only the beautiful meal, but as welcoming and pleasant the staff and sitting area was definitely back again

Visited my parents and decided to try the Nelson, which has recently been renovated. Very disappointed in the quality of food. Average of £12 per meal, the fish was burnt, chips cold, my dad's gravy was set solid in the gravy boat, unable to pour. My sons meal was not served with the sauce, even though we pointed it out to the waitress. I tried to give feedback when leaving, but unfortunately the landlord made it personal and offered me some advice, that I need to consider how I give feedback. I agree, I am no expert in complaining, I have never felt so strongly to complain. The landlord obviously had more experience in receiving complaints. The point which shocked our family more, was my husband received the wrong meal,when he raised it, the waitress said that she had taken his order and knew what he ordered. Basically calling my husband a liar. No-one will know who was correct, but surely if you want repeat business you don't insult the customer.
