Old Schoolhouse Brewery - Winthrop

During the stay in winthrop, we visited old schoolhouse brewery as online reviews for this restaurant was not bad. we ordered fish chips. After about 40 minutes waiting, we finally got our food. when we were back to our accommodation and the box opened, we were shocked to find that all fish were darkened. they were so overcooked that the fish meat tasted like rubber, and the French frit was also badly overcooked, tasted as hard as matchsticks. we love fish chips and have this in many parts of the world as we travel. but in any case, the fish chips in this restaurant were the worst and most expensive, still much more expensive than in Europe, where food is almost always more expensive than in the usa in general. from this court I don't think that the other eating in this restaurant could be much better. so share this bad experience to warn others traveling when they go to search for a restaurant in winthrop, wa

Our family of 5, who were eager to eat after spending the afternoon on the river, arrived at this restaurant. We had to wait 40 minutes for a table, but the outdoor seating area made it worth the wait as it was very pleasant. While waiting, we took a stroll over the nearby suspension bridge. Despite being very busy, our food arrived fairly quickly and we were able to enjoy the views while we waited. We all ordered veggie burgers, which were surprisingly large (we opted for the Impossible Burger for an extra $3 each). The Caesar salads were also very generous in portion size. The beer was decent. Although the meal was on the pricier side, we felt it was worth it since we don't eat out often and were willing to pay for a good burger, beer, and a nice outdoor terrace setting.

The house salad and Caesar salad with chicken breast are both satisfying and generously-sized. The sandwiches, burgers, and fries are all tasty options. The beer selection is excellent. Overall, the value is great. We have dined here many times and always have a pleasant experience, whether sitting by the river or enjoying a view of it.

I was in the old schoolhouse brewery in winthrop several times when I stay in the methow valley. the food is thoroughly good (many burger choices, including veggie burger, fresh salads, quite a few beer choices and other drinks) and service is excellent. the prices are also good. it is an interesting historical building with a terrace located behind the river chewuch. all kinds of people eat there young people, older people, families with small children, etc. I had one night an impossibility (veggie) burger and one reuben another night, both delicious. they had only one dessert choice vanilleeis over brownies, but it was very good.

Amazing service, food and beer! Came here in the summer and it was fenomenal and went back late February and was amazed to be able to sit in a warm Geo-dome! Highly recommend the chipotle aioli with everything!
