Molly Malone Irish Pub - Winterthur

As a Brit living in this beautiful country I sometimes miss British food. Okay, this is an Irish pub but fish and chips is quintessentially British. So I was disappointed when the fish in Guiness batter wasn’t crispy and the fish wasn’t fluffy cod or...haddock instead it must have been the cheapest fish available. Plus to add insult to injury the proper looking chunky chips has been seasoned with paprika!!! So I have only been to Ireland twice but I don’t remember their fish and chips being any different from what we have in Britain. If you are going to sell something so quintessentially British Irish do it properly. Really disappointed. Having said all that my friends spare ribs and burger looked good and they were pleased with their choice. Service was good, as was everything else. I was just really looking forward to proper fish and chips.

Arrived at and the place was empty. We were served promptly but then the staff vanished. I had high hopes but the pub is a bit off the beaten track. Central Winterthur has more choice.
