Ruth's Chris Steak House Winter Park

Yesterday was my mother's birthday – she turned 91! To celebrate, she wanted to go to Ruth's Chris. The extraordinary attention and care from Rylee when we arrived was heartwarming. All the employees welcomed us and wished her a happy birthday by name. If you're looking for exceptional service, Justin is the one to ask for. In the evening, he made sure everything was perfect. He spent time chatting with my mother and really listened to her. She was absolutely delighted.

Overall, everything was fantastic, but we had to wait nearly 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. The front staff appeared to be overwhelmed and a bit unprepared. However, the manager handled the situation well by offering us a few complimentary drinks, which certainly eased the wait. It seems like there are still a few kinks to work out at this new location in terms of service flow.

The Winter Park location has recently relocated to a new building in Winter Park Village, and I believe this change has diminished the overall experience of dining at Ruth's Chris. The tables are very close together, the servers seem quite young and inexperienced, and the noise level is high. The previous location had a classic ambiance, while the new one simply doesn't measure up. On the positive side, the food quality remains excellent. This was our second visit to the new location; my wife and I chose to eat there because I was able to secure a reservation on short notice when other restaurants were fully booked. However, we have decided not to return, opting instead for Eddie V's, which feels more aligned with the experience Ruth's Chris used to offer in Winter Park. The prices are too high for the current atmosphere in this restaurant. To be fair, it was busy, but we expect a complete package when dining out, something we enjoyed at the previous Ruth's Chris.

Fantastic dinner in a beautiful new location. colin delivered first-class service, our steaks were perfectly cooked and the modern atmosphere was delightful. we'll be back soon.
