Horrible cake and customer service! A couple of weeks ago I ordered a small vanilla buttercream birthday cake for my teenage daughter. I was charged $100. Unfortunately the cake that was provided to us was burnt and hard like cardboard! The buttercream frosting tasted nothing like buttercream. Not one person could eat it. Everyone spit it out. It was the most disgusting/inedible cake. We were astonished that a French bakery could not execute a simple cake properly! It almost felt like a prank. The next day I took it to the store so they could see the awful product that was given to us for $100. The young man working there apologized and said the owner, Veronique or Stephan would get back to us that afternoon. We never got a call. I called 5 days later to follow up and spoke to another gentleman there. I explained the cake situation. His response was that I can only speak to the owners if I get there before 10am and that the owners were “authentic French” and could not speak English. I was so puzzled by his response. So I have to continue searching for the owner (at his convenience) to rectify the awful product they gave me? Ridiculous! All we have gotten are roadblocks by their employees. I give up on trying to speak to these so called French owners and have accepted the fact that I threw $100 down the drain and spoiled my daughter’s birthday. I am just warning the public don’t order cakes here because if you get a bad product from this place don’t expect this store to care or do anything about it. Will never purchase anything there again nor will our friends and family.
Sad to say the bakery looks great but uses enriched flour as such I can't eat it and given the prices quite surprising honestly ? enriched flour is beyond unhealthy and should be banned. Any good bakery should know this.Seeing your response I am appreciative you aren't using it in all your products I don't think your staff understand that. Could you tell me which items or have a list in store for the ones that are safe to eat then? IE no enriched chemical flour just the good stuff? And maybe consider not even having enriched in the store at all since it's a subpar ingredient and unsafe for consumption. Thanks ? ?
Best chocolate almond croissant I've ever had! They also have wonderful fresh Rye bread. Love this bakery!
