Carmine Italian - Winston-Salem

I had never eaten here and came here last night with family and friends to celebrate my father's retirement. The waiting staff was very friendly and professional, the food was very good, and the bread before dinner was delicious and there was a lot of it! I had angel hair pasta eggplants parmigiana and loved it!

Best Italian restaurant in Winston-Salem from a rural mile. My wife and I were a little empty to try it out because it was in a strip-mall, but since it was less than a mile from our house... we decided to go. We came to a strange time and found ourselves the only one in the restaurant, but we have it up to the unpleasant lunchtime of 4:00 and not the restaurant itself. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, which is the best way to taste the sauce, because that is the basis of every Italian restaurant. We also ordered Stromboli and some Tiramisu. The Stromboli was cooked for perfection and was a large portion of size. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked and the sauce had the perfect balance of pest and depth. We ordered two Tiramisu desserts to go because we were no longer hungry, but wanted to see if Carmines could check this box. We had it later in the night and were blown away. This restaurant is fantastic. The service was incredible and the atmosphere reminded of the restaurants I grew up in New York. I come here at least once a week as long as I live here, so I can try everything they have on the menu. Make yourself a favor and check it today!

My sister and I were after the church for the first time two weeks ago and it was AMAZING. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was exceptional. He knew everything on the menu and gave great recommendations. Everything from pasta to sauce was homemade. If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this is your place.

Found this place and loved him! The staff is wonderful, the ambience is cozy, the restaurant is clean, the bathroom is immaculate, and above all they have a nice selection of dishes to order and the food is excellent. I am Italian and it is quite difficult for me to find an Italian place to eat that I really enjoy, and this place exceeded my expectations. It's a place where I would even bring my pops, and he's more a sticker when it comes to Italian food than me. We look forward to our next visit to try something new. Add to the cook!

The BEST Italian food anywhere in this area. Large servings and homemade deserts! How can you beat that!!! Just ate there this evening. Eloise had Shrimp Saporito, one of there specials. She told Carmine that this was the BEST food she had ever eaten. I had the cannelloni, a meal I had not tried before. It was great!! As I said before, the BEST Italian food in this area!!! Ask for Sam. A Very good server.
