J S Pulliam Barbeque - Winston Salem

This was rated as the best hot dog place in NC so I finally got around to trying it. Couple hot dogs all the way which seemed to include chili and slaw. Buns were lightly toasted. Thought they were really good hot dogs, so the number 1 ranking seems legit (I know a couple other places that I think are right there with them).

Pulliams is an institution and I can see why. I've ordered the sandwich hotdog combo, which comes with chips and a drink. The hot dog is worth the drive. That was my favorite item. The bun was nicely toast and all of the toppings went well together. The bbq sandwich was pretty good. I liked the meat on its own without the slaw. The staff was very nice. The building is old, but fits the vibe of the place. I also tried one of the famous fried pies. It was excellent and would highly recommend them.

Have been eating here my entire life and it's just the best!! Only 2 things on the menu and although I've eaten here for over 50 years I have never had a hot dog! I hear they are the best.

Great hotdogs! I understand why so many people travel long distances to have a hot dog. Such a unique flavor.

Great hot dogs and great service I can't get enough!!!!. Love the best hot dogs and BBQ. The staff is very friendly
