Sushi Ai - Winnipeg

I ordered the surprise bag from “too good to go app” and even though the price was reduced $8 plus taxes) all I got were 2 different types of cucumber rolls and 1 yam roll. No avocados or fish eggs. Came with a small miso soup that had tofu crumbs at the bottom and a small seaweed salad which was from Costco. I wouldn’t try their surprise bag again. They sell them during the slowest time of the day to make some profit which is a good idea but I don’t think people want to eat so many cucumber rolls. And I don’t think I’ll ever try a sushi surprise bag from any other restaurant. I’m sure it’ll be cucumber rolls again ? Not worth the hassle of picking it up within 30 mins during rush hour.

It's a small place so it's always a good idea to call to make reservations.The owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming.

Our favourite easy, inexpensive and consistent sushi restaurant. Almost any pick off the menu is a safe bet. We’ve dined both in and for takeout, and our experiences have been positive across the board. Highly recommend!

Delicious Maki rolls and tempura! Large pieces with lots of fresh fish. Beautiful presentation. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend!
