Menu is short but everything was excellent, charcuterie, meatballs, beet salad, roasted potatoes and the cocktails. Pricey cocktails but really well executed. Wish we had more places like this!
Chefs kiss on this establishment! The atmosphere is cozy, unique, trendy, and inviting. I typically sit at the bar top when I visit and every person behind the bar makes me feel like I am an importabt part of the team! Watching them take the utmost care into each cocktail crafted, beer poured, and delicious menu item served makes me feel even more comfortable being there!
Had a great date night with my husband at Langside Grocery to celebrate my birthday. Our server was super helpful with recommending cocktails based on my usual preferences and the food was great! The cute patio was definitely a bonus.
Been to Langside Grocery a handful of times over the past year, usually on a date with my partner. The atmosphere here is cozy and chill, it 's not too loud or crowded. This past time we grabbed a table on the patio, which also had a nice ambiance. We ordered two gin based cocktails and were satisfied with them, although they were on the smaller side. We thought about finally trying the food menu, but their food prices are honestly laughable. $4 for a deviled egg, $4 per oyster (when most places charge $3-3.50) $16 for potatoes. $12 for a slice of dessert. We have no issue paying for quality and frequently visit Nola, the Oval Room, Preservation Hall, Sous Sol, and Thomas Hinds for food/drinks and are always super happy with our experience. Bluntly, Langside Grocery isn 't at the same level as any of the aforementioned when it comes to cocktails or ambiance so we declined to order food as it felt like a blatant gouge.Would have been fine keeping them as a cocktail only place, but after reading the owner 's unprofessional replies to reasonable reviews, we won 't be returning as it shows a lack of respect toward guests and their hard earned money.edit to reply to Owner: While I understand and support correcting inaccurate information left in a review, such as saying you order your meat from De Luca 's and not Costco, that 's much different than leaving sarcastic quotes as replies to people who didn 't enjoy their experience.Coming from the hospitality industry myself, I wouldn 't expect a guest to address concerns with management/staff unless it was a true error, such as a meal/cocktail being prepared with incorrect ingredients or a billing mistake. A restaurant has the right to charge whatever prices they want and I think most people understand that, they 're not looking for an educational seminar as to how profit margins work. They 'll decide if they want to pay that price again, leave a review, and move on.Speaking of profits, I 'm very curious as to what you mean when you say that all profits go back into building maintenance/upkeep and that you 're custodians of LG. If you 're actually running as a not for profit venture, I think this is important to mention as many people are willing to pay higher prices to support a good cause, myself included.
I will start by saying this restaurant has potential to be a good one but failed horribly. The atmosphere was great a nice little pub area and beautiful patio, unfortunately this is where it ends. There were 3 tables being served when we walked in, as we sat down everything seemed to be going well, it took about 10 minutes for the server to return we ordered drinks and dinner, 10 minutes later we received our drinks, which were very good and refreshing. The server then left and we were not spoken to again for nearly 40 minutes, it was at this point we decided to leave, hungry and disappointed. The server returned to ask us for more drinks 38 minuets after we placed our order, at which point we paid and left.I will not be returning to this establishment in the near future and will gladly warn my acquaintances not to come here either.
