Tom and his team have created a popular spot on campus. The staff is friendly, many of whom are students, and there is a wide variety of food options. The website is clean and easy to navigate.
Coffee is great, food is healthy and customer service is always wonderful. The only problem is that they are too good and are always busy! I have to have something here that's not delicious. Whether you have the ascent and shine...Fresh special, muffins, salads or wraps.... You just can't go wrong. I love how the Front Line employees get to know you and your orders and let things run when they see you in the snake. If it is nice outside, go to the terrace to enjoy the heat and the great view of the campus. I highly recommend at any time of day.
Came with an employee here and ordered to go. I ordered the pancakes with a fruit cup and an egg. The pancakes filled me and tasted good! The fruit cup was freshly prepared with oranges, pineapples, cantaloupe, honey dew and grapes, which I had from the variety and as it was 't just blah fruit in syrup! I ordered the egg, but it was all kinds of rough, so I didn't even disturb it. I'd get the pancakes back, but definitely stay away from the eggs. The rest of the menu looked delicious, with lots of variety I would like to try some more! I'm here for coffee. It can be a little loud, but overall it is a beautiful place.
I went to this restaurant for lunch, but was surprised to find out that they also serve breakfast all day. I was a little confused about where to order at the counter, but the cashier told me that if I paid with cash, I could order from the take-out menu even if I was dining in. Most people waited for their orders with numbers, but my group received table service instead. Our table marker was unique - it was a Mufasa and Simba bank. The breakfast options seemed to be the best value, as the rest of the menu was expensive and had limited variety. Despite being busy, our food came out hot and as ordered. I did find a lone crouton in my salad, though I'm not sure if that was intentional.
How many times can the same dish be prepared incorrectly? I've had multiple issues with the house salad - once it came without bread, another time there was confusion about the order size, and yet another time there weren't enough vegetables. It seems like such a simple dish to prepare. To top it off, the chef argued with me, insisting that he was right and making me feel like mistakes were common. When I finally received my order, the chef's attitude was uncalled for.
