I've known the owner of this restaurant since they first opened up! The owner and his family are very welcoming! They make some of the best Mexican food I've ever had and ask that you the consumer give Burrito Grill a try!
Was not a fan of this place. To start, I came in to grab a quick lunch and the individual taking the order was not very friendly. He looked like he was dreading having to take my order. The food was mediocre. I ordered 3 tacos; steak, al pastor, chorizo. The steak was juicy but completely bland and chewy. It almost reminded me of beef that’s been boiled. It was chewy and I couldn’t finish it. Again, no flavor. Was not a fan. The al pastor was not eatable. I took two bites and threw it away. The meat was bland, and the cuts were super fatty. Chewy. To make it worse, the meat had a weird refrigeration flavor to them like the meat was not fresh. I’m giving this place a two stars because the portion sizes were good. The tacos are stuffed with meat. Also the chorizo was actually pretty good and I enjoyed it enough to finish it. Unfortunately, if you can’t get a steak taco right. It’s a no go for me. Won’t be coming back.
This is a family run restaurant in Winfield. I always try to give family run restaurants a chance but this place is tough to defend. The service was completely underwhelming and slow. The pure lack of interest in their own business was disheartening. The food portions was huge but lacked any flavor. I ordered steak fajitas, the steak was chewy and didn't even have salt on the meat. The pre packaged rice and beans were edible but the steak wasn't. This place gets 2 stars since it is a family run restaurant but avoid this place
I 've been to Burrito Grill many times over the past few years. It is a great little local Mexican restaurant. The owners are very friendly, the food is consistently good, and the portions are always very generous. I 'll never forget my first visit here. I walk in, place my order and take a seat to wait. The lady behind me tries to order queso fundido , and the employee looks at her like she has two heads.. uhh we don 't have that.. I 'm laughing because I actually knew what that was, having been to many a chain Mexican restaurant myself. Then shortly after, another costumer at a table asks the same employee if he could have some Tostitos .. What 's.. 'Tostitos '? the employee says completely perplexed, as his face suggests 'what 's going on here? ' I start cracking up again thinking this place is surely entertaining!
