The Grand Cantina - Windsor

Overall great experience. Had the shishito peppers to start charred beautifully, great flavour. Then had the taco trio coconut shrimp, ugly delicious, barbacoa (pictured left to right). All 3 were excellent. Atmosphere was great and service was very friendly. Will definitely come back!

The food was amazing all around, and the place is beautiful. I tried 3 tacos with different protein (beef, chicken and crab) and all were well cooked and seasoned, the toppings were fantastic, and the corn tortillas were so perfect. The duck fat fries were also great, albeit the small is a bit of a small portion. Probably the best Mexican place I've been to in the city. The churros were outstanding as well, never had any that good before. The prices are a bit high given the portion size, but the service is great and the food is worth it.

HORRIBLE SERVICE.Came in, were sown to the last available table in the corner. Provided with menus. Manager IMMEDIATELY comes over to ask me to move my car that I parked in a spot reserved for the restaurant, with a 4 inch piece of green masking tape that had 'staff only ' scribbled on it. My bad, missed that.Took 3 minutes to move my car, went back to my table, and then, like an idiot, waited 21 minutes, during which time no one, came to our table. NO ONE. The food being served to the other tables looked and smelled great. But since NO ONE served us, I cannot attest to the taste and quality.ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE. What a shame

It's an okay place. They were out of Mexican Coke and didn’t have any other soda available. I ended up ordering a lemonade, which was fine. Unfortunately, there was only the option for soft shell tacos; I would have liked a hard shell. I ordered corn tortillas but I'm fairly certain I received flour ones. I didn't want to send it back since it took way too long for my food to arrive in the first place. The restaurant is really cute and feels trendy, but with the number of staff working, I expected a better experience. That’s just my impression. Others seemed to enjoy their tacos, so that’s something.
