Shawarma Express - Windsor

Couldn't ask for better service or food. I had not had shawarma since I was in Toronto many years ago. However, I mad a quick trip to pick up cigars and found my new favorite little spot to eat. If you get a chance to go there do.

I've been eating here since they've opened & was rather bummed when they had the fire back in 2011 as it's one of my go-to locations for a great lunch (& occasionally dinner). So I was rather happy when they finally re-opened. I would suggest during the week to go for lunch just after 12:30 pm to avoid the lunch rush & nearby school kids will go there a lot as well—ideally 1pm is better as by that time they’re not nearly as swamped.I've NEVER had a bad experience here & I'm always greeted pleasantly when I’m @ the counter to place my order.The quality of their food is on par with the dine-in ‘fine dining’ Lebanese & Mediterranean restaurants in Windsor. I typically get the Shwarma Chicken dinner platter with Lentil rice (in a takeout container since you get more food ;-) …there’s a lot of food to eat & I build my own customized pita wrapped sandwiches :-)I love their garlic sauce—it’s one of the best in Windsor & I always ask for extra. If you like to add some heat to your food they do have a spicy sauce you can get or they have ‘hiding’ under the counter hot peppers.Everyone I’ve brought to Shwarma Express loved their food & stated that they would happily go back again.Side note...their frozen yogurt is quite good too.

We had a fast and great lunch there , it was our first time there and will for sure go back for a quick fast great food and staff was very friendly.

Dont believe the negative comments they are negative nancies and have no patience. this place is amazing if you dont have ADD and can wait a little for your amazing food.

I've been there a few times. The service is terrible. They always treat you like you're bothering them. No smiles...just rude. The food is touch and go. Most of the time it's old buffet or cafeteria style food. I got the chicken shawarma and the chicken was so dry I could barely swallow it.Worst of all was the bathroom. The toilet had so much mold in it. If I saw that first, I would've left.Do yourself a favor...for the same price go next door to Eddies bistro for better quality food and outstanding customer service.
