Mario's Trattoria - Windsor

We had a gathering here to celebrate a birthday. It was a quaint little storefront restaurant, with good food and we weren't drowned out by loud music. We could actually have a conversation while waiting the short time for our entrees, which were well presented with a variety of choices from our group with no complaints, great wine list and variety of beers.

They don't serve pizza but you get a great experience and great wine selection. The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. We went and were very impressed with friendly and knowledgeable staff and the experience was amazing when it comes to the environment.

Went for dinner on a Saturday evening. Wonderful service, great meal and very reasonable prices. I had one of the veal dishes - excellent!

The first time we went to Mario's (about a year ago), it was a wonderful dining experience. Our waitress, Natalie, was awesome.Unfortunately, since then, we've returned many times and the level of service was not there.This past Saturday showed no improvement. I had made reservations (in person) a few weeks ago, and was asked if we were celebrating anything. I replied our Birthdays, and it was noted in the reservation book. When we arrived on Saturday evening, our table wasn't ready, so my boyfriend assisted in the set up. They were short staffed, and there was no acknowledgement of our special occasion. What should have been a special evening was not. My boyfriend and I both feel that dining should be an experience, we do not just order a quick meal and leave. I am adding Mario's to the list of restaurants that we will no longer visit. We'll spend our money where it is more appreciated.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at Mario's. The chicken noodle soup was full of chicken and tasty vegetables. My husband had rainbow trout and I had the veal with lemon. Both were well prepared and presented. The blueberry cheesecake was one of the best desserts we have ever enjoyed. The wait staff was attentive and professional. We will return.
