Sumi - Windhoek

Service was so, and the food was mixed. the steak I had was perfectly cooked and came with a delicious sauce. I also had mais (mais? on the cob, which was an surprise to be available in Africa. it was good, but I don't think you can screw mais on the cable. the gyoza i had as an appetizer was terrible. one side of each emptying had been left to sit in the pan too long, so it was hard and hard, and the filling was literally nothing but bark meat, just a hard-ground beef lumpen. not good!

Good dining environment. Food is quite tasty, however a bit expensive.

They didn't have many of the things they offer on their menu. They offered to substitute some of the fish in their roles for something they had, but they only had smoked salmon and prawns if I remember correctly so options were a bit limited. Food was good though specially the gyozas. The service was also nice and helpful. They even gave us a complementary bottle of wine for our consumption.

Lovely and stylish place. Had a very nice dinner here although quite a few items on the menu weren't available sadly. Some dishes are amazing some are bland and a bit disappointing. Still worth a visit. Quite pricey.

Had a Sushi craving and heard good things about Sumi but surprised that no takeout option available. The place looks nice but had to get my sushi fix elsewhere. Two stars for now...
