Asia Supermarket - Windcrest

The first time here, but I'll make sure it won't be my last. this is the largest Asian market I have here in san antonio. there is a lot of things to see and choose. from drinks, to ritters of all kinds, size and aromas, to a lot of exotic fruits, as well as a fairly large live seafood area. they also have a really good restaurant where they can get their blase tee of choice and do not forget to get their kitchen items while they are here.

We enjoy coming here. Asian Supermarket has many items to choose from. If your not a seafood fan, might want to cover your nose. They do have a fresh seafood market. ? My favorite

This Asian market is conveniently located close by my neighborhood. I usually come here to buy staples in larger quantities (better deal) such as jasmine rice, soy sauce, sesame oil, some fresh produce, coconut milk, and curry paste. This Asian market has a wider variety of Asian grocery brands that standard supermarkets. They also have a restaurant inside, which I have not tried yet. A definite recommendation.

The selection here is expansive. Aisles of sauces lead into a really impressive meat selection. The prices are very reasonable and make the drive worth it. I wish the snack area was larger but the amount of staple items is awesome. I can find all of the noodles that most American grocery stores don't carry. I can't say enough good words about this market.

5 star for product and produce variety.2 star on seafood and meat. The quality of their meat and seafood items are somewhat questionable. The refrigeration is questionable as well as quality and handling.2 star on cleanliness and overall store hygiene. They could do better and keep the store up to par with other Asian store. The store needs better ventilation as the strong smell and reek of spoiled fish permiate the entire store. Some products are over priced compared to the other Asian markets around town. I will continue to buy packaged products and produce but I stay away from the meat and seafood.
