Greens - Winchester

We dined at this restaurant to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary with our family, which included two vegetarians, one vegan, two young boys, and two meat eaters with differing tastes. We were all very pleased with our choices, as the food surpassed our expectations despite the somewhat traditional setting and atmosphere. There were two great vegetarian and vegan main options, which we all enjoyed. The kids' menu was perfect for our six-year-old, and the meat eaters loved their steak and lamb dishes. The service was efficient and friendly, although I would have preferred if the staff and owner wore face coverings, especially compared to a nearby restaurant we visited just two days prior.

Five of us went to the restaurant for lunch. We had to wait a bit for one couple to arrive, but we were not rushed to our table, which was appreciated. The starters arrived promptly and were excellent. We all enjoyed our main courses of roast dishes. Some of us also had desserts, which were delicious. The wine was flowing, and we ended up leaving as it got dark. Overall, it was a great lunch experience.
