Casa Maria Mexican Cuisine - Winchester

The food was excellent. We tried the seasoned beef taco and the chicken taco, both of which were authentic and full of flavor. The Enchiladas Verdes were fantastic, and my wife really enjoyed the chicken tostada. The fried ice cream is the best I’ve ever had!

The complimentary chips come with two sauces, both of which were excellent. Just a heads up about the orange sauce—it has quite a kick, so be careful if you’re sensitive to spice! I want to try everything on the menu, but I can’t help but keep going back for those authentic street tacos. You can pick your shell and filling, and just like that, you’re transported to Mexico from this little storefront in Virginia. The atmosphere is simple, but just think about what you’re getting—Mexican flavors without the travel! Sorry, I can't comment on the drinks; I’m not sure if they have beer.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant featuring genuine Mexican cuisine! The chili relleno tamales were incredibly delicious. It's challenging to find truly authentic Mexican food, so we were thrilled with our meal. The menu had a wonderful selection, and even the children's options were impressive. The customer service was exceptional; Maria, who helped us, was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable, with tacos starting at $2 and large entrées around $20. I absolutely adored the queso!

As a Texan, I never thought I would find such a hidden gem in Winchester, VA. I tried the taco plate, which included several tacos that were all fantastic, but the pork pastor truly stood out. The corn tortillas were a bit oily, but otherwise, they were excellent traditional street tacos from Mexico City. The real star of the meal, however, was the carnitas—absolutely incredible with rich, deep flavors. I'm already longing for another visit!
