Before we sat on our table, they kindly informed us that there was a party from inside and order quickly if possible. another young man, came to take our order and was helpful with recommendations. the food arrived and we had croquettes very nice, so also the special lamb stew, sad the potato grays, aubergine and lentil stew and fried fish were not so good, apparently not to season.
We has a lovely time at the KAs with our friends, whom we had not seen since the start of the pandemic. The restaurant was immaculate, and COVID precautions well respected. We were impressed with the choice and quality of the tapas menu, with the...fish bites, padron peppers, meat balls and meat pasties particularly commendable. The merlot we chose was both delicious and affordable. The staff were prompt, knowledgeable and very helpful indeed. The restaurant was also dog friendly, which conferred an extra bonus. If we lived locally, we would definitely be regulars!
We arrived before our slot on Saturday expecting great things. The guy on reception looked like we'd disturbed his chain of thought and dismissively told us to get a drink, find a table and someone would be along. We snagged a table and a...couple of cokes and after waiting minutes concluded that we were in the wrong place. I checked on my way out but no, we were in the Kings Arms alright. There must have been tables occupied in total so it's not like they were rushed off their feet! I'd love to rate the food but we never had any there's better, more smiley service in a Russian carwash. Don't waste your time, find somewhere that actually serves food, you know, to your table and all that jazz.
We'd booked a table for two hoping to have a quiet dinner during what has been a testing time with lockdown over Christmas Tension was heightened by Mr Hancock at Unfortunately all the youths of Malmesbury seemed to descend upon the same venue...and in an absolutely unprecedented event seemed to have all arrived from a single household. Covid rules were out of the question although the owner did seem to warn the crowds, this advice fell on deaf ears and a couple of Greek salads and bottles of Peroni later all seemed to be forgotten. I've nothing against the food or service, but the locals are taking the **** somewhat.
We popped in here for lunch. The staff were great and so was the food. We tried the tapas. All the dips were made on site and the humus was probably the best I have tasted we even asked to take some away! It...was quiet because of the Covid precautions and probably the weather but we would happily visit here again if we come back to Malmesbury They had all the Covid precautions in place.
