Guyers House - Wiltshire

Went to Guyers House Restaurant for Sunday lunch yesterday and was very impressed

My husband and I received a nice welcome and seated immediately

First visit here using a Groupon Voucher for 4 people

My wife and I went for lunch on a Travelzoo voucher – two courses and tea/coffee for £29. The building is lovely, but the dining room was cold and had the atmosphere of a crematorium. We were shown to our table by a member of the Reception staff, but left for over ten minutes before a man who I now know to be Paul, the restaurant manager, came with the menus. During this time we were alone in the dining room. Other members of staff came and went without coming over to ask if we might like a pre-meal drink.

On arrival we were shown to the lounge for drinks, which were fine, we were collected to go to the restaurant for dinner, the young lad left us to carry the drinks and shot off leaving us to find our own way.
