The George On The Riverwalk

I was really looking forward to dining here, especially since they had a separate vegan menu. However, upon arrival, I was informed that they no longer offer a vegan menu and the only option was a beyond burger. While I enjoy a vegan burger occasionally, I was hoping for more variety. Despite my disappointment, I decided to give this place 3 stars because I appreciate that I can still dine here if I want a burger, and they have nice outdoor seating. Wilmington could definitely benefit from more vegan dining options. I hope they bring back the vegan menu!

The restaurant had a lovely environment, but I was disappointed by the vegan love soup. I ordered a bowl and received a small portion served in a shallow bowl. There were only about five chickpeas in the serving. I also had a salad on the side but was still hungry after finishing the meal.

It's hard to resist the stunning view and the opportunity it offers at this restaurant. The fact that I can bring my dog here would be reason enough to visit, even if the food wasn't good. But it is! The beyond-burger and vegan soup are the only options for vegans, and I was impressed by the delicious flavor of the burger. I usually don't like meat alternatives, but this one had a great taste and texture similar to a beef patty. The bread it came on was also tasty, as were the French fries. My only complaint is the price, but that's to be expected for the location and ambiance.

The george no longer offers a separate vegan menu, as described in the two reviews of 2017. the tacos and Tofu Scrambble mentioned in the previous reviews are no longer in the menu. What they offer is two beyond burger options (a salat a burger) and a third choice. there are also some other menu options that can be made vegan. I have the salate that was good when you're a fake meat fan. on the plus side, the restaurant has a great location, free parking and really beautiful seating on the water.

This is a cute little place right on the river front. They offer a completely separate vegan/GF menu which was wonderful! The tofu tacos were awesome. The portion is huge, so I had plenty to take home. Great place, great service
