Go ahead. Let me say the first, for two years in Wilmington looking for the best place with wonderful food is very far and little between especially since COVID. We saved this place in a back pocket for a special occasion and we decided that the two-year anniversary would be exactly that. We used to be chefs at some incredible places, so you can say we are picky and keep some standards above the average person. Let me begin with the service, our waiter Jadon was about incredible, very attentive, polite and knowledgeable with a great feeling of fine culinary skills. I was really glad to have a great personality to connect with the mouth water food. The pictures do not do justice You just have to go and try to take a few dishes instead of my word for it. We started the evening with Clam Chowder and the Scallops, the Speck Marmelade was well designed, paired wonderful. Our entrees were the swordfish, potato croquettes and Brussels sprouts (Insert-Koch-Kuss) as well as the coconut wars with the orange jam is a real treat! A dinner so big must be sealed with dessert?? We had cream brûlée’s on our thoughts, but unfortunately was not on the menu when I asked Jadon about the bread pudding that I wanted to know where to keep my expectations. As a pastry cook myself I know that there is good bread pudding that melts in your mouth and sadly a dry way that belongs only in a coffee shop to drink in coffee... When the dessert came, I was crazy. It was soft and moist with cinnamon, white chocolate and fresh ice cream. How I like to do it myself. My mouth started writing about it. The part was huge and plentiful to take home, which did not even make it the next day, we ate it as soon as we came home and settled for the evening. We decided from now on whether we want to go out to eat, we eat at Bridgetender or nothing else, because we are so often disappointed until we are here. I can't seriously stop fleing this place. We even asked for a pinch of mussels to go home and was offered hot or cold, to go cold was best, so we could really enjoy his fresh taste again for lunch the next day. And I've been wondering for days that we're going back, even if it's just for the soup. So seriously, whoever reads this, share with Jadon and the chefs for the biggest round of applause I could possibly write, you all did a fantastic job and we can't wait back! Thank you.

Gourmet seafood of the highest calibre. The oysters Rockefeller are the best I've ever tried. Our main dish, a seafood Medley was seasoned and cooked for perfection and was accompanied by asparagus and oven baked potato cubes. And finish with a key lime cake that looks and tastes like it was made in the sky. I recommend not only The Bridge Tender the most, I would say that it is a must when you visit Wrightsville Beach!!!
Bridge tender sets a great atmosphere with comfortable seating, great water views and then tops it off with great service. The prime rib was outstanding and everyone at out table enjoyed their meals. We avoided the crowd by dining off peak hours which I would recommend.
