Mariposa Tapas Wilmington

My wife and I like the ambiente and eating in mariposa. we like to try different dishes and the small tellers offered here make it easy to experiment. mariposa is on the list of our regularly visited restaurants and would recommend it to anyone who likes to taste new food.

We came for a date night and were not disappointed. the restaurant is a converted bungalow, so that the dining room is smaller and intimate. they have an entire escaping area in free that looks amazing when the weather warms. we enjoyed 5 tapas and 2 desserts (determined more than we could eat). our favorites were the oxentail emanadas and the charred trumpet mushrooms, but nothing lacked in taste. our server was very friendly and has made some very good recommendations. I'm looking forward to the return.

This was my first time at Mariposa. I have a gluten allergy, but our server was helpful and knowledgeable. The food was delicious, the setting is very cute and the servers/staff were wonderful!

The presentation was great and the service was amazing. There were three of us. We got the charcuterie board, steak, gazpacho, shrimp, empanadas, and bread with tomato sauce. Everything was beautiful, but I would have liked more options with less chorizo. I didn’t like all of the chorizo, but that’s just my personal opinion. My husband loved them!
