Excellent food and service. A more refined choice amidst a variety of diners and family-style restaurants.

Our server suggested trying the Brussels sprouts, so we also ordered the onion rings, and both were outstanding. The sauce accompanying the Brussels sprouts was delicious, and the garlic aioli served with the onion rings perfectly complemented them—more restaurants should offer that! I also had the French dip sandwich, which was quite possibly the best I’ve ever tasted at a restaurant. The only way I could see it being better is if I made it myself! The horseradish sauce on the bread elevated the flavor, the meat was tender, though the au jus was a bit disappointing—it was slightly salty and didn’t have the depth of flavor I expected. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed dipping my sandwich into it with every bite. For dessert, we had crème brûlée, which was delightful and satisfied my sweet tooth without being overly heavy. I recommend it for dessert as it has great flavor without being too filling. In terms of pricing, it was a bit higher than I anticipated, so be prepared to spend a decent amount. For four people, including dessert and two appetizers, our bill came to $139, averaging around $34.75 per person. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice meal after visiting Longwood Gardens or Winterthur.

Gray truly excelled, even when faced with numerous challenges! Despite the POS system crashing, a malfunctioning pen, and the hectic environment of balancing dishes while attending to their tables, the staff remained incredibly attentive, humorous, and provided exceptional service. They truly went above and beyond! The lighting and noise levels were accommodating for neurodivergent individuals, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the staff was exceptionally kind, effortlessly accommodating our service dog. Overall, it was a fantastic experience at Buckleys Tavern! Thank you!

Tommy the bartender was too focused on impressing his parents and a group of friends. Showing off, if you asked me. He never even gave eye contact while we sat, sat and waited for service. However, Paul was busy and finally after 20 mins he’s looked our way and waited on us. The service was awful; however, I give a placed a break due to limited staff. To see Tommy just chat, chat and show off did it for me. He shoujd never assume the rest of his audience are not as important. Shame on him! The kitchen staff were hustling on all levels. Great food from then. Again, this is constructive feedback to help address the issue..

I upgraded it to 4 stars. I went back with a group of friends and this time I had a different meal. I had the French Dip and it was very good.
