Squirrel Cage Grill - Willow River

This bar is possibly the most unwelcoming place on earth. The bartenders have the personality of a tree trunk. I have never experienced anything like it, and I have written numerous positive reviews in the past. Even though a local brewery highly recommended the burgers, I cannot overlook the unfriendly service provided by the bartenders. I suggest avoiding this bar if you are just passing through, as it was a major disappointment for me. Although I am not usually a fan of "cancel culture," I would recommend staying away from this place and making better choices elsewhere.

We were passing through on our way to go hunting and found the food to be excellent, the service was impeccable. We would definitely return. The price per person was between $10-20. Food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and there is plenty of parking available. Guests can park for free in either the parking lot or on the street.

I hadn't visited this restaurant in years. While I was up north during the fall visiting state parks, I decided to stop for lunch at the cage. The restaurant has been renovated since my last visit. The food is typical bar food, with a pretty good burger. The staff are friendly and there are regular customers who can often be found there.
