Restaurant Waldecker Hof - Willingen

There is a welcome: very friendly and we led our family to a very nice covered table. The waiter who was assigned to us was very friendly, went to extras and always had a little joke for our children. For dinner: we had a Carpaccio and Camembert with cranberries as an appetizer. The meat was very tender and pink. The cheese was also very delicious. As main food we had Ragù, Rumpsteak and Lachs. The Rumpsteak was ordered and delivered in English. Very delicious! Also the fish was OK. 30 seconds less in the pan, and he would have been more juicy. But still within the framework. At Ragù there were two pieces of meat of about 20 hard, but the rest super. Even the dessert tasted everyone. For me as a red wine drinker, the wine card was a little too small. I can only recommend the Primitivo. If we're back close, we're definitely going back.

The Waldecker Hof is a hotel restaurant that can be seen. A very beautiful, noble ambience in the restaurant interior, pleasant also the small outdoor area towards the road. Excellent: Perfect waiters who brought warm plates with white gloves. In addition, the entire very attentive staff is distinguished by an inexorable kindness. The menus include a good selection of good-bourgeois dishes, supplemented by a quote of Thai specialities from the wok. At the beginning of the food sequence, the chef greets with a small attention, We had as Amuse Geuele an excellent pumpkin cream soup with balsamico and pumpkin seeds. To the main dish we had salmon – fried with skin and thus with very tasty roasted aromas. Also recommended is the “Steak Caprese” with mozzarella, tomato and a very tasty pesto. And not to forget the Thai duck with wokg vegetables, perfect. Also worth mentioning is the excellent whisky bar with a very good choice for those who want to enjoy a digestif after eating. The price-performance ratio is balanced and not to be contested. We like to come back.

We were very surprised when we were offered Thai food in the restaurant recommended by our hotelier. It has tasted us well, even the little Gruss from the kitchen was a very nice impression of the following food. Those who like to eat appetizers should share the mixed appetizers as a couple.

Nice and good friendly service. There's room for 59 guests. There are also Sushi nights. Vegi and Thai are available, too. Open from 12 to 14. The food has been refined and it's more expensive than the average German restaurant. Count $45/60, per person for main dish and dessert without booze. One can drink good German wines for a competitive price.
