We have been enjoying all of the Taverns for more than 30 yrs . The Kings Arms is the one we wend to first on our honeymoon so it has fond memories for us and much to live up to . Our experience recently was all that we hoped it would be . Thank you for maintaining the quality and historic ambiance .
Truly disappointing. The cocktails were weak, and the food was terrible with the exception of the peanut soupe which was wonderful as was the Westphalia Ham and pecan pie dessert. The Onion Pye was flavorless; the Pork Shanks Choat were tough with carrots broccoli not cooked thoroughly (though the sauce and grits were quite tasty); the Bread Pudding was the consistency of a brick; the custard in the Snow Eggs had turned (though the strawberries and soft meringue topping was quite good). Try Christiana Campell 's Tavern (another restaurant offering culinary traditions of the past instead; we had a wonderful meal there during our last visit.
