I had what was called Yorhshire Pudding but was really a beef stew w/ apiece of Yorkshire in it. The beef gravy were good but the carrots were not cooked there were no potatoes as advertised. I would skip the Yorkshire Pudding.
Restaurant was advertised to have a fried chicken special on Sunday nights. We made reservations which were really not needed since my wife and I were the only people in the restaurant, about 15 minutes after we arrived another group arrived of around 4 people. I inquired about the chicken special, the waiter did not know what I was talking about and after she inquired from the kitchen she confirmed that there was a fried chicken special. For an appetizer, the fried brussel sprouts were recommended, which I ordered, and which the waiter promptly came back to tell me they were out of brussel sprouts. The fried chicken was chicken fried chicken, which was a fried chicken breast with gravy, not what I expected. It was a nice serving, however, it was extremely salty, which actually ruined the serving. My wife got the same entree and also complained how salty it was. The service was fine, the waiter was pleasant but seemed new to the establishment. Overall, it was just an ordinary place and I would not really recommend it.
My husband and I stopped here on Sunday for brunch. We were kind of early (got there right when they opened) so we were the only ones there. I had the appetizer fries with jam. It was AMAZING. I also had the risotto as my entree, a little heavy on the bacon, but overall very good.
Sorry, but this appears to be more of a pizza and burger place than a true English Pub. The Bangers and Mash were not very tasty, especially the Bangers (fatty and not good quality). Tried the chicken and it was two strip like patties that were so well done I could barely chew them. Service was ok and nice selection of beers available. Just not what we expected and certainly not true Pub food.
Not fancy but the food can be pretty good and it's decent value for the money. We dined inside where the ambience is not terrific. The heated in season covered patio seems quite pleasant but we didn't want to chance it on a hot night. A plus was the service which was prompt (on a slow night) and courteous.
