Neues Schutzenhaus - Wiesbaden

We went here for a family dinner, we were 7 adults and 4 young children. The place is of course very hunting and shooting orientated with lots of trophies and animal memorabilia on the walls and it looks a bit old fashioned but this is their style, so it is not to everybody's taste but it was OK for us.The food is typical German and the quality was excellent. We were all very happy with the taste of the food, although some found the portions a little small other (such as myself) found them big and it seemed to depend on what you ordered.However, we found the service very slow and inattentive. Once we had placed our order the it took a long time for the starters to be served. At the same time they served the children's meals, which is not necessarily a bad idea as the kids don't/can't want as long. But then it took just as long again to get the main meal served. So in the end it took over 1 hour from ordering to getting our main meal! They were also not attentive during the rest of the time. Our table was close to the serving area but they would always walk past us without asking if we wanted any more drinks, or even looking towards our table. In fact, in trying to order another drink I had to try for about 20mins to get their attention. Hence, during our 2 hour meal most of us actually only managed to get 1 single drink.There is also outdoor seating, although this was not open when we were there as it was still a bit chilly.In the end, I think that the effort of waiting so long is not worthwhile. You can get good quality and good service in other locations.

A flight ended in the new shelter in the animal park fasanerie in meadowbaden. at the beginning the large, inviting beer garden was noticed. it didn't take long until we could give up our order, but a little longer until it was brought. speaks for a fresh preparation which clearly confirms the taste. highly recommended, although unfortunately somewhat expensive, is the homemade limonade, which is very fruity, but not too sweet. the staff was friendly and well-launched, we felt welcome as guests. the food tastes twice as good:

Deliciously eaten, well served. Dog felt very comfortable. We were here for the first time, but surely come back

It was very delicious. The staff was extremely friendly, although the hut burned today. Price/performance also fits. Can be recommended very well! Top!
