Mauritius - Wiesbaden

The food was excellent with huge portions. We have never eaten there before and decided to try someplace new. We were pleasantly surprised. I had the best eggplant on the vegetation platter that I have ever eaten. The meal ended with some wonderful schnapps.

We, a group of four, decided to try out the Croatian restaurant Mauritius in Wiesbaden. We sat outside on the front patio, and were promptly greeted and seated. Our server, Eli, came immediately and took our drink orders. Next, we ordered the Genghis Khan Sword, #42, for four people. When they brought it out, the huge platter on which it was served took up most of the table, it was so large. It had five different meats, lamb chops, rump steak, pork steak, hamburger steak and bacon, vegetables, and French fries. We were a bit overwhelmed and ate as much as we could, but still had enough left over that we all took home our own box with a couple of pieces of meat each. All of the food was delicious, perfectly prepared, and we were very well pleased. Our server Eli's English was excellent, and her service was exceptional. We will all go back again, and will ask for Eli to be our server again. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Looking forward to our next visit!

Very tasty, best are the big tellers. after eating there are always good schnapps. Now that the terrace is new, they can sit nicely.

Here, in addition to Croatian specialties, there are also German and international cuisine, where the focus of the menu actually lies on the home of the owner. the personal is always friendly and good mood. smiling is in the order of the day. as a hospitable feeling that people like to work there. I feel very comfortable. if they have found and ordered on the menu that offers something for every taste, it does not take long to come. despite the short waiting period, the quality is good, all freshly prepared. that speaks for a well-functioning kitchen that I also took very positiw. the amount on the bill is also pleasant. a part cevapcici with two large apfelschorle and an espresso cost me €18.50. in terms of quality, portion size, service and all others a very fair price. the restaurant mauritius so I can recommend without restriction. at the weekends there are even free parking in the hof, but a garage is also just a few meters away.
