Zur Steirischen Botschaft - Wien

After reading Tripadvisor reviews of restaurants in the area of our hotel (Trend Savoyen) we decided to find this restaurant and were very pleased we did.The restaurant was really nice and welcoming and not very busy. The menu was mainly Austrian Styrian type food ,...we both had the Goulash soup to start and really enjoyed it (we can't remember the names of our main courses other than they were equally enjoyable) As mentioned this restaurant is down a couple of side streets off the main Rennweg street in a very safe area amongst embassy buildings, it is worth seeking out if you are staying in this area of Vienna.

A 5 minute walk from my hotel, the NH Belevedere, in the 3rd District where all the Embassies are located is a treasure of find. Not typically frequented by tourists, this pleasant spot caters more to the locals. The front desk a the hotel turned...me on to it went there twice during an 11 day visit. They have outdoor patio seating under the Linden trees which were in bloom and caressed us with their heavenly perfume. I twice enjoyed their cream of pumpkin soup which is unlike any American version. Styria is a provence in southern Austria and they feature the meats and produce of that region. Everything is freshly prepared and delicious. It's also priced fairly; more so than the typical Tourist restaurants. If you find it, you will be delighted.

War hier nur zum Kaffee, Wartezeit vor einem Termin sinnvoll nutzen. Aber, ich war hier nicht zum ersten Mal und bisher war es immer in Ordnung, das Personal war sehr freundlich, es war rundum sauber. Es war auch sicher nicht mein letzter Besuch. Irgendwann werden ich definitiv den großen Gastgarten nutzen.

Der Wiener Schnitzel und der Wein sind gut! Und der Schanigarten gemütlich.

Essen war Top! Geschmacklich so wie es sein soll und man(n) es erwartet. Für alle die, die Österreichische Küche mögen, einen Besuch wert. Nur die Einrichtung war etwas ungemütlich. Aber die nette sowie zuvorkommende Bedienung machte dies wieder wett.
