keke's Cafe & Kitchen Bar - Wien

Sehr schöne Räumlichkeit, kleine Speisekarte jedoch ein absoluter Genuss! Wir wurden nett bedient und hatten einen schönen Abend! Das Lokal ist sehr schön eingerichtet! Werde bei meinem nächsten Wien Besuch auf jedenfall auch hier wieder essen gehen! Einziger Nachteil - meine Sehnsucht wieder einmal nach Ghana zu reisen wurde noch größer!

Since this restaurant is described to have Afro-Caribbean dishes, we wanted to try it out. On the website there are a lot of dishes that look authentic and seem delicious, but when we arrived, it turned out that the actual menu everyday is a limited version, and on the already limited choice, several were very similar (had same ingredients and preparations, but were served as appetizer or main dish). To our disappointment there was also no African drinks to be served, except for a bottle of beer from an African nation. We tried to pick the most authentic dishes from the menu. The appetizer was not cheap, but surprisingly small, even though its preparation and ingredients don't seem to be very challenging (grilled banana). My main dish had a mixture of meat, rice, some salad and grilled black peas with a sauce, which turned out to be salad dressing. And this was served again with grilled bananas. The food was good, well cooked, tasted nice and didn't leave any desire, but for what it was, it was too expensive. The table we were given was also very small, barely enough room for our main food and drinks. The decoration and the ambient were nice, but suggested nothing of African origin. Also a sad part was that they don't have much choice for dessert, unlike what would assume from the website. And the 3 choices they had were the typical everyday items in Viennese bakeries, all filled with milk and sugar. All in all there is little to no authenticity to this place, so I'm not sure if it checks out as "African-Caribbean" and I can't really suggest this place.

Zentrale Lage, sehr klein und gemütlich. Die Bedienung war sehr flott und zurückhaltend, das Essen hervorragend!Bei der Auswahl ruhig mutig entscheiden!! :)Meine Favoriten: Garnelen als Vorspeise - sehr fein gewürzt! Red Red als Hauptspeise - würzig, reichhaltig und wirklich gut!

Ein sehr einladendes und sympathisches Lokal mit toller Küche. Wir haben verschiedene afrikanische Gerichte bestellt und waren begeistert.

Die Speisekarte ist mehr als überschaubar, bietet aber immer wieder Neues!Mein Lieblingsgericht: Congri mit Avocado oder Huhn
