Masa Madre Sourdough Pizza - WICKHAM

Having read about this and using Google Maps to find it, located in Wickham, in Mitchell Street, on the edge of an industrial park, the efforts are well worth it. It's not far from Throsby Street, and Throsby St Providores, and the Albion Hotel.As it was a Friday, we came early, a few minutes after opening at 5pm, and with a bottle of pinot noir under our arms and our miniature dachshund trotting along, we seated ourselves at an outside table and went in and ordered the La Picadura pizza which comes with hot salami, with fior di latte and grana padano cheeses, and with a drizzle of honey. Yes honey, who would've thought but it adds a fantastic element to this delicious, perfectly cooked pizza. Service is very friendly and helpful, and the pizza came out quickly.We'd only just finished watching the street side entertainment from the young men, obviously with very small middle appendages, finishing work across the road at the panel shop and doing burn outs in the street in their clapped out jalopies with exhaust pipes larger than their brains, and the smoke had cleared and our pizza was delivered to our table.This place is very popular with a steady stream of people picking up takeaway pizzas and people arriving to take u the seating inside and out.Definitely one of the best pizzas we've ever had.

Tricky place to find but so worth it!! Delicious sourdough bases. Small but yummy selection of toppings. Made just like pizza should be!! Can't wait to go back!

I ordered takeaway pizza from Masa Madre last night and was not disappointed! It was easily the best pizza I've ever had. They have a great selection of simple but delicious toppings that work so beautifully together. Can't wait to go back!

Quite possibly the best pizza we've had in years. It was so good, it was almost impossible to stop eating...now I'm lying like a beached whale on the sofa awaiting the inevitable pizza coma. We will be back! Thank you!

This is a small pizza place in a fairly random location. There are a few tables out the front, where we sat and ate on a quiet Thursday night, but I imagine most of their business is takeaway. The pizzas were beautiful! Not too heavy on the toppings. The girl who served us was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come here again.
