Przekaż informację zwrotnąCame here last week with a few friends on a Friday before a movie. Pros: The painting on the walls are beautiful and hear for sale. The meal I had was good (wish the portions were bigger The customer service was on point. They have wine and drinks specials on Fridays for those that drink. They have military discount (Ohhhh Yeah!!! Cons: Not a 5 because my cupcakes were cute, but fell apart and was lacking moisture unfortunately : They had a singer and it was a bit loud for my taste, I couldn't have a conversation with my group I would definitely come back and try something different.
On a whim, hubby and I decided to check this place out for lunch. Truth be told, he has a mad sweet tooth and is hard pressed to turn down any sugary offering. But let 's face it, not the kind of place 10 dudes would go for lunch while in Military uniform, but for lunch with the lady, it was perfectly fitting. I love the concept of cupcakes and wine/beer and have seen other places make a go of it. How? I honestly don 't know, but it definitely has to have food, I feel, to really make it work. Thankfully, Ganache offers a small menu, with choices like soup, salads, flatbreads, appetizers, a couple of entrees, and assorted hotplates ranging from enchiladas to potpies. There 's even mac n cheese and pizzas for the kids! But let 's face it, people are still coming for cupcakes! Our server was prompt and friendly. She asked if we wanted our food items to come out as they were ready, which was a good call since it helped space out everything nicely. Here 's how our lunch of appetizers went down... The pork belly skewers (3/5 : Enjoyed them and the concept on a stick. 6 pieces to an order. Pork belly was okay. I was expecting a little more flavor and/or spice but very mild. Topped off with fresh cilantro. The Buffalo Cauliflower (3/5 : I 'm a huge Cauli-fan! I love it cooked every way you can imagine. I liked it, but I wasn 't wowed by anything, they were just good. Roasted cauliflower with buffalo sauce baked in, sprinkled with blue cheese, and topped with scallions. The French Fries (5/5 : Yes! Can you believe our favorite part was the French fries?! First off, it was a much bigger portion than we expected of thinly cut (shoe string-like potatoes. Seasoned with light sea salt and thin sprinkles of Parmesan cheese, we reveled in how perfectly cooked they were. I finally had remembered to ask for fries (The only thing ever want to eat well done is bacon and French fries! Thanks Nadine! Hubby on the other hand likes his almost done so this plate was perfect because it had both kinds of perfectly cooked fries ! And of course after all of the saltiness on our palates, we had to get a cupcake. The cupcake (4/5 I didn 't need my arm twisted on this one, as I already knew from scoping them out which one we were getting. Death by Chocolate, hands down. The cake portion itself was super moist, fresh and chocolatey. The frosting, it always seems like no matter where you go, it 's always super sweet. I could have been happy with about a ¼ of the frosting but somehow it landed in the belly. Hubby and I both agreed overall, the cupcake was very good, just less frosting and less sweet frosting would have put it over the top. In the end, Ganache makes for a nice spot to meet up with the ladies for GNO, or even to bring family out for lunch or dinner since it is kid friendly. I saw about 7 different varieties of cupcake flavors and quite an assortment of wines and draft/bottle beer. Unfortunately, nothing wowed us but it was a fun place to try out and we appreciated that they recognize military personnel by giving a discount! I 'd say it rates between a 3 to 3.5.
Service amazing! Shrimp Mac and cheese lacked shrimp, however, wine selection compensated. Gluten and sugar free cupcake a must do.
Ganache is not your typical bakery! Not only do they serve cupcakes and specialty cakes they serve Lunch and dinner as well. The interesting part that makes this place stand out in town compared to other bakeries is that they also have a upscale wine and draft list! The wine list and draft list is also accompanied by a food and cupcake pairing. The atmosphere is trendy and warm! Ganache is a great place for date night or a girls night out! This is the second time I have visited Ganache! The first was for lunch with friends and this time was for cupcakes to go! Their cupcakes are by far the best in town! Even after being set out till closing the freshness is on point! I had the meatloaf for lunch which was pretty good! (I am not a meatloaf fan but they said it was their most popular dish).Their menu is small but they include Chef's Specials every week and the items they do have they know how to prepare them well! I have tried the Wedding Cake, Vanilla, and Chocolate Cupcakes all delicious! I have a nut allergy and have never had an issue eating here! When going to larger bakeries like Market Street or Sam's I typically have to be very careful. So that's a plus that I can enjoy a cupcake with no worries of an allergic reaction. Now the reason I gave it a 4. They need more employees and if you are on an hour lunch break, don't bother coming in. While the everything else is on point the service is decent (being there is only 1 server who is taking orders refilling drinks and working the register at once). Due to how busy they get they should invest in more employees! I believe their productivity would increase leaving it possible to be there on your lunch hour and decrease the stress level of their one server!
This is a nice place to catch up with a friend. We had the red velvet, Hostess cupcake (chocolate with marshmallow filling and chocolate ganache , a glass of milk, and a cup of French press coffee. Those items were all good, and service was fine. The French press coffee was really great to go with the sweet Hostess cupcake. Cupcakes are DEFINITELY on the small side here considering they are $3.25 each. Depending on which flavor it is, there isn 't even a muffin top, and the muffin might not even protrude from the wrapper because it 's so small. According to my amiga, they 've found a niche as the only cupcake joint in town and thereby can charge an arm and a leg. For the more parsimonious crowd, Tuesdays are BOGO cupcake days. She recommends you get there sooner than later as they close by dinner and are down to boring flavors like vanilla. Also important to note! They do a military discount, which is always a thumbs up! I haven 't had their real food yet, but the combos look fun where your cupcake comes on the same plate as your real food as part of your meal, just as dessert always should. :
