Superb vista from dining room to exceptional beachfront and views across the Spencer Gulf with Flinders Rangers as the backdrop.Congenial hosts and attentive waiting staff serving fresh local produce.Interesting daily special menus at very reasonable prices. Really enjoyed the Friday night curry special.Stayed 2 nights and would have stayed more if time permitted.A real gem to find an excellent fine dining experience in a country town.

Great Coffee from the Cafe with a view to die for!! Fabulous playground for children and open green grass to kick a ball! Great place to waste a few hours....

The Whyalla Foreshore has gone from drab to FAB in a short time. There's always something to do here, from BBQ's to playing on the kiddies gym to the sports gym equipment that council have installed, or just relax and have a coffee and a bite to eat at the Ocean Cafe, on hotter days you'll find Pete and his ice-cream van down near the cleaning table where the locals can clean their catch and then treat themselves to a delicious ice-cream.

The local council have spent a lot of money to make this an enjoyable place to visit. Shade is available and there is plenty of parking parallet to the beach. There is a cafe on the beach that looks quite nice and the local surf club do patrols and establish a safe swimming area. There is also a fenced swimming area within the adjacent marina. Be wary of tides if thinking of swimming as at low tide it can be quite a walk to get wet!
