Azabu - Whittier

To start off, our waitress started off strong went over the menu with us since it was our first time. Brought our food at a decent time then we ordered more rolls,and that's when it took over half an hour. Then we just wanted our check to leave .our waitress then came to check on us to see if we wanted anything else we ordered one more roll, but she had an attitude because they were understaffed. We did see I'm guessing the general manager walking around offering free shots and drinking. What do we have to do to get free shots? LOL.

The sashimi was amazing! I had the salmon and the yellowtail. The desert was delicious as well. Chocolate sushi roll.

The dinner experience was incredible. Staff was energetic, helpful in explaining the food/menu, and positive. The food was tasty and presentation was superb. I went with a work group and it was a great fit. There was a small area for outside seating which was nice.

Best chicken fried rice I have ever had. Was the best thing. Sushi rolls were good but small fish portion. Chicken was done nicely. Interesting flavor sweet and savory. Not teriyaki sweet.

We just happened to stumble into Azabu while looking for a sushi dinner spot. The restaurant is very nice and modern. The waitstaff was attentive, professional and knew the menu well. We started with the black crispy rice which was delicious. Next we had the Geisha roll (it’s a roll with spicy tuna, shrimp tempura and topped with albacore) yum! We had the seafood ceviche after and finished off with the tuna tataki (not pictured). All of our food was exceptional and presented very well. Vegetarian options: I saw a pretty large vegetarian menu
