Mermaids - WHITSUNDAYS

It was with fear and contempt that we booked to go to mermaids, as we were there years before and the terrible reports about travel advisors and urban spoons speak for themselves. we were quick and pleasantly surprised! they had a new chef who was there less than a week and he makes some fantastic changes. we saw him for most of our nights and he's a wonderful cook. we saw how he carefully prepared and plated every plate perfectly. we ordered the salt and pepper scatter and the pumpkin, the pine nut ravioli from the solid, which were absolutely delicious. so tasty in the did I had to go back to lunch on the following day and check if they had the pumpkin ravioli for...read more

Was a beautiful surprise to find this place embedded in a corner of the island. we sat under a ventilator a and the seabreeze made it a comfortable visit. we ordered a woodfield pizza, fish and chips and pecan caramel tart for dessert. the pizza was a good size and filling, was a little oily because of the cheese, but much topping and taste. the fish and chips were not too bad, a piece of fish was and little dry, but the other three were on place. the dessert, wow! would come back even if only dessert. a welcome change to takeaway style elsewhere on the island eat. mock **** was fresh and refreshing!

Really bad, terrible eating, terrible service. beware! they give food cards to compensate for the terrible experience. pay them a little extra and go to hamilton, they will not be released. here for my fathers 70 and let the staff ruin the day.

Order burger and steaks in the frame of the tour package. However, the steak was too hard to chew, although it was too moderately cooked. desserts were delicious, but it's too sweet for us.

Awful! salat limp, not enough sauce with the feather rolls and no one will wipe away the dirty teller.
