Sunday Creek Cafe - Whitney

The wide windows are very inviting to be with the forest of Algonquin . The place is clean and like cottage style. The foods are cheap and homemade soup is good. Like a fast foods like pizza ,fries.

The Café is in the perfect spot for lunch if you are doing a day trip inside the park. The food and service is always good, plus the view from the deck and the new little walking trail that they've put in is really nice. Also located at the visitors centre is an excellent book/gift shop and the art gallery/educational exhibit.

The food was great however the young man serving at the counter could use a refresher on food safety. He touched his face and hair several times and did not wash them even though there was a hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall 6ft from where he was serving from.

Initially the café looks empty, but you must go to the back to find the kitchen. There you can get lots of hot foods including vegetarian and gluten free. They have hamburgs, hot dogs and I think I saw regular and vegetarian chili on the menu too. They had a lot of ready made plates of cheese and crackers, fruits and pizza. Excellent choice of drinks for all. Staff very helpful and seating area kept clean. Great views of Sunday Creek while eating.

Coffee could be better. Nice view. Quick serve. Food not outstanding. Self serve affair. Lots of seating. A bit noisy I found.
