Went for dinner 2 nights ago - quiet place, friendly staff. Entree serve of the best calamari ever, will be returning for that alone!! The burgers were good too - pulled pork and chicken, Fries done perfectly.Very reasonably priced wineBrekky menu looks great tooWill be back

Cannot say this place has anything in the way of amazing pizzas! Bland, boring and tasteless! Maybe their hamburgers are better but I will never know!

The Blue Dog is located in a small shopping strip in Park Orchards and there is not a lot around other than a fish and chip shop, another coffee shop and a few other shops. It provided a good cup of coffee and friendly service. The décor is fairly basic but satisfactory for this type of informal café.

We haven't been here for a while. Had an Entertainers voucher so it was our dinner choice and so perfect on a winter night. Service is fast and very pleasant here. It's casual and fun. Table next to us had grandparents with two boys - coloring sheets and pencils were provided. Just finishing up as we arri ed wrre a young couple with bub .... duits a wide variety! I had a yummy burger, hubby a pizza. Food is fab, yum. We will be back soon!

Having been eating hamburgers recently, I think we have finally found the best hamburgers in Melbourne. We had the 'Big Dawg' which (i.e. 160grm Brisket beef patty, double smokey bacon, double gruyere cheese and hickory smoked BBQ sauce) The beef patty was particularly delicious and not fatty but the best part is that they used a normal bun - not a sweetened soft bun that seems to be in fashion these days. They also come with french fries which were perfectly crispy and not soggy.We also had the dukka infused smashed avocado and poached eggs - all good here but I think one slice of toast was not enough for the $20 price tag (yes, it was a thickish piece of toast but I like to spread my eggs out a bit). There was also a really generous amount of avocado but for $20, there should be anyway. Regardless, very tasty and beautifully presented.The only thing that could be improved is their coffee as it's a tad on the weak side compared to most other cafes in the area. Plus the music is a tad loud (but that could be just my old age talking here!)Service was friendly and efficient, nice atmosphere. There are also a few small tables outside if you wish to bring your dog along to fight with other passing dogs.
